Data sources & attribution
Every place in the game is generated from open data: OpenStreetMap for roads, buildings, water and land use; GUGiK's 1 m terrain model for Poland; MET Norway for the real weather. Here's who to thank, and on what terms.
Attribution
The game shows an attribution screen built from each tile's meta.json. For the first regions it credits:
- Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Extracts come from Geofabrik.
- Elevation and topographic data: GUGiK (Główny Urząd Geodezji i Kartografii): NMT terrain model, NMPT, BDOT10k and 3D buildings, and the orthophotomap (the roofs' colours are measured from its photos), free for any use.
- Copernicus GLO-30 DEM, © DLR e.V. 2010–2014 and © Airbus Defence and Space GmbH 2014–2018, provided under COPERNICUS by the European Union and ESA.
- ESA WorldCover (CC BY 4.0) for land cover where OpenStreetMap has none.
Weather, models and sounds
Mixtape's stations: radio-browser.info, an open directory of internet radio (public domain); each station plays from its own server, under its own name. The native builds' stream player is built on Rust crates, among them gdext and Symphonia (MPL-2.0); their licences come with the game (
LICENSES.txt).Weather data: MET Norway (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), locationforecast 2.0, under CC BY 4.0. Fetched by the game itself when you sync with the real world (and every few minutes after, if you keep it up to date).
Models: Kenney Car Kit and Nature Kit, and Kenney's Impact Sounds, all CC0.
The people on foot (the man and the woman in the phone's Me): built with MPFB 2 from MakeHuman's base body, skin, hair and clothes, CC0.

Shipped map data
Map data derived from OpenStreetMap stays under the ODbL. Pre-built regions that ship with the game will be published under the ODbL with this attribution, and the generator is meant to be available so anyone can rebuild them, or build any other place.
The "Made with Godot" badge uses the Godot logo by Andrea Calabró, CC BY 4.0 (Godot press kit).
